The Boston windsurfing community lost an avid, enthusiastic windsurfer, outdoorsman and businessman this spring when Norman Preibatsch died in a tragic hiking accident in Tuckerman’s Ravine, NH. The Pacasmayo Classic wave event (the Peru stop on the AWT) and the Kona North American Championships in Minnesota both took place the last weekend of August. Techno 293 Nationals & Kona New England Champs
Forty-two windsurfers from as far as Mexico, Canada, California, and Florida attended the Techno 293 National and the Kona One Design New England Championships at Vineyard Haven Yacht Club August 1 & 2. The windsurfing competition of the 2012 Summer Olympic Games is drawing to a close, with the medal race to be run on Tueday, August 7. 2012 US Windsurfing Nationals Rocked!
The 2012 US Windsurfing Nationals, presented by the American Windsurfing Tour wrapped up last Thursday.
