More Great Racing in Florida

Calema Midwinters Day 2 Summary

Great racing at the Calema Midwinters on Friday.  From Calema.com:  The Formula fleet had two great races with winds that kept the entire fleet planing. Gonzalo Costa Hoevel won the first race by a comfortable margin, showing excellent upwind speed. The second race proved challenging but with a perfect start by Micah Buzianis at the pin end. Gonzalo and the others gave chase downwind. Paulo Dos Reis and Wojtek Brzsowski were flying downwind, when suddenly the realization that the downwind mark decided to sail itself downwind. Luck was with us as it reset itself, making for a gigantic second upwind leg. Gonzalo and Gabriel Browne managed to squeak past Wojtek .
