Front hand on the mast foot

Lift whole body over the center line of the board.

Place front foot against the front of the mast. Grab the uphaul line

Make sure your weight is evenly distributed over the centerline as you stand up

Remove the water from your sail by bending your knees, keep your back straight and stand up pulling the sail out of the water

Bend your knees again to get some leverage against the sail

Keep your back straight, pull the sail up using the uphaul line by going hand over hand

Hold the mast firmly, knees bent, shoulders back. She is in the start position

Drop your back hand and step back with your heel over the center line and toes facing slightly forward

Place your back hand on the boom at shoulder width
Front hand goes on the boom at shoulder width

Bring the rig over into the wind so that it is balanced and will stay there by itself

Look at the front of the board through the window of the sail. Stay relaxed, steady and sturdy on the board.

To begin sailing, rotate your whole body until you can just see the front of the board in line with the mast.
